For the last week or so, I have added kale or spinach to my smoothies to make them green. Here is the recipe for the one I made today. It made enough for almost three sixteen ounce smoothies. I will have one for breakfast, one for an afternoon snack and save the last one for tomorrow morning’s breakfast. The Dole Orange Mango Juice is my favorite, as of late.
Berry Kale Smoothie
2 cups Kale
1 cup Spinach
1 pear
1 cup mixed berries (I use frozen)
1/2 cup almonds (soaked overnight is good)
2 clementines
1 banana
1 cup Dole Orange Mango Juice
1/2 tsp matcha
1 cup water
3/4 – 1 cup ice
Blend in your favorite full sized blender or Vita-mix.
Pour and enjoy!

I have all the ingredients except the berries, I’ll try it this weekend. Thanks.
Since you don’t have berries, I might suggest a banana to give it a smoother texture and a sweeter taste.

That sounds so fresh and healthy! I love how many fruits you managed to combine into one smoothie. I wouldn’t have thought to use both pear and mango OJ in the same drink. Looks delicious!
I know, I probably have too many ingredients in there, but I like the banana to make it a smoother consistency. I like the nuts for protein, which increases digestion time, and keeps me from getting hungry too soon. The pear and oranges makes it a little sweeter; I love a sweet tasting smoothie. Thanks for visiting my blog.
I will run over and check yours out too.
You can never have too many ingredients in a smoothie! It just means you’ll have leftovers for a snack later or breakfast tomorrow. :]
Agreed. It is nice to have something ready to eat (drink), so bad food choices aren’t made.
So true. I usually just grab a piece of fruit, but it’d be fun to drink my fruit every once in a while instead!
