My, how technology has changed the question…

I was Skyping with DD just the other day as she sits in the beautiful city of Seville, and I in my living room in the U.S. Frustratingly, the speed of the connection was like waiting for the sun to come out during a Minnesota winter.  We were speaking over each other as we were both trying to blurt out, “Can you see me now?”  It was so funny as we realized how “Can you hear me now?” has morphed into “Can you see me now?”

We can’t hear each other talk on cell phones and can’t see each other through Skype. Yet, we use and pay for this technology as we are not longer able to live without it. Even with its faults, we put up with it and are even thankful for a less-than-stellar connection.
